Setting the DPI of TIFF or PICT files

All TIFF or PICT images can include a setting for their resolution, in DPI (dots - or pixels - per inch). Some of these images may not have the correct resolution set, and so will import at too large or small a size. You can alter their DPI so that they import at the correct size, and will not need re-scaling to match the size of other images. To do so, use the setdpi utility:

setdpi dpi TIFF/PICT_filenames

where:

• dpi is the new resolution for the file(s), in DPI.

• TIFF/PICT_filenames is a list of the TIFF or PICT image files to change.
